Overall coordination of the project is done jointly by GIZ (project coordination and management) and IESE (scientific coordination).
GIZ’s task as Coordinator is to lead performance of the project in accordance with the requirements of the Contract, the terms and conditions of this consortium agreement and the resolutions adopted by the Meeting of Partners. The Coordinator’s functions include, but are not limited to coordinating the Partners’ activities, and representing the interests of the Partners vis-à-vis the European Commission and other relevant persons and institutions.
IESE as Scientific Coordinator, together with the regional scientific coordinators Instituto Nacional de Salud Pública, Mexico, and University of Witwatersrand, South Africa,will assure the scientific quality of the project. The Scientific Coordinator’s functions include, but are not limited to coordinating the scientific activities of the project through facilitating and ensuring effective collaboration and communication between work package leaders on scientific matters.
